I stopped dreading the second session of the day.
Marcus T.
Masters Track Sprinter, 47
Two 200m sessions in one day used to cost me the whole following morning. Six weeks in, the second session stopped feeling like a tax on tomorrow. I'm not claiming I'm twenty-five again — I'm saying the gap between what I want to run and what I can actually back up has closed.
The change I noticed first wasn't in the session itself. It was the walk to the car afterwards, and the next morning getting out of bed. Sprinting at 47 is mostly a recovery problem, and that's the part that moved.
I apply it to quads, hamstrings, and calves before the warm-up and again after the cooldown. That's the whole protocol. No timing games, no loading phase.
