  • Protein at 1.6–2.0 g per kg of bodyweight, distributed across the day rather than in one hit.
  • Protect sleep like a training session — it is where the adaptation is actually banked.

Will carnosine make me faster?

Most people over forty do not report a raw speed change. They report being able to repeat hard sessions sooner — which, over a season, produces the performance change.

Is it worth it if I only train twice a week?
